Diagnosed at 65
I have recently (7/14) been diagnosed with Parkinson Disease. At the age of 65 and retired, this is a time in my life that I plan on playing lots of golf. However this last summer my HC went from a 12 to a 29. But I was still able to play the greatest game one could play.
I plan on involvement as long as I can and I will not let this chronic illness get the best of me. I have started a blog about golfers with Parkinson’s disease for sharing ideas of support. Bragging rights of players with Parkinson’s, and a general interest in the greatest game one can play.
This chronic disease can be a lonely disease which takes control of all those bad things that will make your situation worse. I believe in faith of God and staying positive to get the most out of life I can get daily. I thank God for that every morning and ask for his guidance and trust in him.
