Sherry

Diagnosed at 45

When diagnosed with Parkinson’s, it was expected, but still a shock. Something I’m sure most of us have went through. I set out to prove to myself that I was still able to do things, even though I was told I would never work again. With an “I CAN” attitude, I set out to remodel one of the rooms in our home, and I did it! Next, I decided it was time to make some Christmas gifts for nieces and nephews. Stuffed animals was my choice. It’s funny, but I haven’t stopped in 8 years now! My “Critters” as I call them have become a therapy for me……..for fine motor and concentration skills……..as well as so very good for the heart. The smile on someones face as their receive their custom critters warms me to the soul! Because the critters are such a help to me, and the APDA Greater St Louis Chapter has been there any time I needed them, I have opted to donate a portion of each critter sold directly to them. My way of paying it forward and hopefully helping others!
