Diagnosed at 25
I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease at the age of 25. I was able to work as a aircraft mechanic for 15 years after being diagnosed. I am 44 now and on July 2 2014 I went through a life changing experience. I had deep brain stimulation surgery. I is January 4 2015 and all though it has been a rough go of things I know that things are better for me now. I could be homeless and not have the support of my friends and family. I am sure that with all the research that is going on and technical advances there are in today’s world there will be a cure in the near future.
