Diagnosed at 39
My name is Josh Robinson. I was diagnosed with Early-Onset Parkinson’s Disease in March of 2013. I may have Parkinson’s, but it does not have me. They say exercise is the best therapy and I have chosen to pursue Powerlifting and the beautiful sport of Olympic Weightlifting. My mission in life started 20 minutes after receiving my diagnosis. I was given this disease to show others that you do not have to accept it’s limitations. If you are a brother or sister in arms in the battle against this or any other movement disorder and you need to find inspiration, or if you know someone who does, then please look to my blog. It’s raw and I’m new to this but I try to just teach how I approach this battle and fight for every inch. I’m also available on facebook, a project that I started to personally share my experience with Parkinson’s.
